College Student Teaches a Campus About Israel

Spurred by a sense of pride in Israel, Weiss de-cided to help the Jewish state and did something no other student at Bryn Mawr had done. She started a pro-Israel organization.

2/10/03 Mawrters add Israeli advocacy to Bryn Mawr consciousness
A new conversation has begun on Bryn Mawr’s campus, and Genna Weiss ‘05 hopes that Mawrters will take part. The topic is Israel, as presented from an Israel advocacy point of view. Weiss formed the organization BRYNPAC as a component of an internship, and now plans to bring a series of Israeli poets, journalists, scholars, and other experts to Bryn Mawr as often as once a week.
