Highlights
The
Israel Speakers Series Committee met Sunday
afternoon to plan events for the semester.
Tentative speakers will include: a member of the
Jewish Dialogue Group to speak about the current
conflict, a songwriter to present Israeli songs
of peace, a member of the Anti-Defamation League
to talk about issues of anti-Semitism and
anti-Zionism, a professor of Israeli literature,
and an expert on Islam and the Middle East. In
addition, future programs will include a
screening of a film from the Israeli Film
Festival of Philadelphia and a concert given by
an Israel Drummers Circle.

BRYNPAC will be
hosting Heidi Gleit, a Penn graduate who has
covered terrorist bombing stories while working
for the Jerusalem Post. She also was the
spokesperson for Hebrew University during its
terrorist attack. Please come listen to her very

Read a tribute to the first Israeli astronaut, llan
Ramon, from the Jerusalem Post.
The
Israel Defense Forces has created a special
e-mail address where the public may express
their condolences to the Ramon Family and to the
people of the State of Israel on the loss of
Col. Ilan Ramon in the Columbia Space Shuttle
tragedy.
The

All
letters received by the IDF will be presented to
the Ramon family.
